Terms and Conditions


Pricing and Payment


Payment is processed by Stripe. All major debit and credit cards are accepted.
You agree to provide current complete, and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made via the Services*. You further agree to promptly update account and payment information, including email address, payment method, and payment card expiration date, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed. Sales tax will be added to the price of UK purchases. We may change prices at any time. All payments shall be in GBP.

You agree to pay all charges at the prices then in effect for your purchases and any applicable shipping fees, and you authorise us to charge your chosen payment provider for any such amounts up on placing your order. We reserve the right to correct any errors or mistakes in pricing, even if we have already requested or received payment.

Prices

Prices on the website include UK VAT at the current rate. UK VAT is only charged on orders destined for the UK.
For non-UK orders, additional tax or duty may be charged at import by the recipient’s government.
We reserve the right to amend prices at any time.

Delivery

We currently deliver to the following countries:

  • UK
  • Australia

Delivery charges are calculated and added at the checkout.
Delivery times are indicated in the product description. Not all product is held in stock: some is manufactured to order – in which case lead times may be a few weeks.
Irrespective of lead time, order processing starts immediately and the customer will be kept informed of delivery estimates.

International Orders
Payment is to be made in British pounds sterling. International credit card providers or banks determine the exchange rate and may add an additional processing or administration charge which the customer is liable for.

International orders may incur VAT or an import charge levied by the buyer’s government, due before delivery, depending on the value of the order. Such charges are outside our control and remain the responsibility of the buyer.

Refusal of Transaction

We reserve the right to refuse any order or refuse service to anyone, for any reason at any time, particularly if:

  • We do not deliver to your location
  • We have insufficient stock

If your order is cancelled you shall be notified by email and a refund will be processed to the original payment method.
We reserve the right to limit or prohibit orders that, in our sole judgement, appear to be placed by dealers, resellers, or distributors.
In using our site, you agree to provide current, complete and accurate billing and shipping information for all purchases made at our store and that your use of, or inability to use, the service is at your sole risk.

Returns policy

Products may be returned for a refund if they are unused, unmarked and remain in an ‘as new’ state.
Please contact us before initiating a return. This contact must be made within three days of receiving the order.
You must return the order to us within 14 days to receive a refund. Items that return in an unsellable condition will not be refunded. Returned items will be refunded minus the shipping cost.
The customer is responsible for the cost and arrangements relating to shipping a returned product. It is advised that a tracked shipping method is used to guarantee final delivery of any returned product. The item is your responsibility until we receive it.

Cancellation

Orders can be cancelled before they are confirmed. After confirmation, cancellation is not possible.

Damaged / Faulty Items.

We endeavour to deliver your order in perfect condition. Items are carefully inspected for condition and completeness before being packed.
We recommend that you check your delivery as soon as it is received. If there is a problem, please contact us as soon as possible.

Privacy

When a purchase transaction is made from our store, you will provide contact details and payment card information. Your contact details are stored securely and never shared with third parties.
We cannot and do not collect or store financial payment information (e.g. credit card number). This is handled separately and securely by Stripe (see ‘data protection’).
Any past customer can contact us at any time and request the removal of their contact information from our system.

Data protection

Our store is hosted on Cargo.site. This is an online portfolio and e-commerce platform.
Cargo do not store any personal financial data.
All Cargo websites and payment services are secured with HTTPS.
Cargo partners with Stripe for Commerce. All sensitive financial data is stored on Stripe’s systems only, is not visible to us, and falls within their guidelines. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall and adhere to GDPR legislation.

Agreement to our legal terms

This website - lukesmith-wightman.com (the ‘Site’) is operated by Fine Science Ltd ('Company', 'we', 'us·, or 'our'). Fine Science Ltd is a company registered in England, at 37 Bates Road, BN16PF. Company No. 7183714. VAT No: 207301651.

*Product or services that link to these legal terms are collectively referred to as the ‘Services’ in these Terms and Conditions.
These Legal Terms constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity (you), and Fine Science Ltd, concerning your access to and use of the Services. You agree that by accessing the Services, you have read, understood. and agreed to be bound by all these Legal Terms. If you do not agree with all these legal terms, then you are expressly prohibited from using the Services and you must discontinue use immediately.
Supplemental terms and conditions or documents that may be posted on the Services from time to time are hereby expressly incorporated herein by reference. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to make changes or modifications to these Legal Terms from time to time. We will alert you about any changes by updating the 'Last updated' date of these Legal Terms, and you waive any right to receive specific notice of each such change. Unless otherwise agreed in writing by Fine Science Ltd, all goods are supplied on the conditions herein to the exclusion of any terms or conditions stipulated by the buyer and of any representations, warranties or communications not expressly incorporated herein or in the order confirmation.

Limitations of liability

In no event will we or our directors, employees, or agents be liable to you or any third party for any direct, indirect. Consequential, exemplary, incidental, special. Or punitive damages, including lost profit, lost revenue, loss of data, or other damages arising from your use of the Services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
